The Body Shop Strawberry Body Sorbet- Review & Price!

I’m a huge fan of bath and body products and in coming days, you will observe that too. I love luxury body moisturizers and body washes/ soaps. It feels like a daily dose of pampering while using these products.

TBS is one such brand which makes adorable and tempting beauty and bath product. (I really can’t wait to try their new limited edition blueberry range). During my last visit to TBS store, I got my hands on Strawberry Body Sorbet.

The Strawberry Sorbet is a hydrating moisturizer, specifically for summers. TBS launched body sorbet in 3 variants; Strawberry, Satsuma and Moringa.

Packaging- Sorbet comes in translucent plastic squeeze tube with tight flip cap. The label on the tube makes it look fancy. It’s a huge tube, so not that convenient to travel with.

Texture- It is a thick pulpy gel formula. The pulpy texture reminds me of melons. Even though it is quite think yet skin drinks it up within seconds.

My Experience

I have been using this product for almost a month now, the thick formula gets absorbed into the skin leaving it refreshed and calm.  It feels quite light on skin. Scent of this range is amazing and not overwhelming. Fragrance even lingers on for good 50 minutes to an hour. 

Even though the delicious smell of strawberries is quite difficult to not get attracted to yet this sorbet is a huge disappointment for me. Firstly, it doesn’t contain SPF, so you will have to layer it with some sunscreen and secondly, it is not moisturizing or hydrating at all.

My body feels the need of reapplication within an hour. I can understand that my skin is dry but my mother and my cousin also tried it and their views are also same (they both have normal skin). The claim my TBS for upto 24 hours hydration doesn’t stand true here.

For such high price, this product is only useful to get cool feeling during scorching heat, which in my opinion is worthless. This is for the first time that I got so disappointed after using a TBS product.

OVERALL VERDICT- Sorbet range from TBS is a cooling refreshing range. Nothing else. It feels like a treat in summers first, but it fails to perform what it claims.
